No, no - don't get too excited! BSP is still unsold and so I still can't tell you what it is actually about. But I've decided to give you some hints. Hints of a visual nature. The idea for this post came from the wonderful
Steph Bowe's Hey! Teenager of the Year blog. She's been running a series of visual inspiration posts for fifteen weeks now and I always find them intriguing and fun. I hope she will forgive me for borrowing! Go check out her blog - you'll love it.
And now, without more ado, I present to you...Big Secret Project:
As you can probably tell, once I started looking for images, it was quite hard not to get carried away... I just hope I've not spoiled the whole thing!

Seriously can't wait.
That is exactly the reaction I was hoping for :)
I love using pictures to trigger my writing. I can't wait to hear more.
WOW. Love this, it was a fabulous idea... gosh, those pictures are so inspiring! Thanks! Now I'm even more excited about Big Secret Project. x( No fair.
BTW, I'm pretty much back to writing, for now! I got some good writing in last night and I think that I might be on the right track... we'll see. :) (So sorry for the wait, Megha and Alex. Before I leave on the 23rd if I haven't sent you anything yet then I will send you anything I can for you to read. It's been a bit rough going but I think now I've finally gotten my writing juices flowing. Well, I can only hope. ;))
Viv: I often kind of forget to look for images, because I tend to sketch my characters, but when I *do* look, I find it so much fun, I end up spending hours. I've got a whole file of images now.
Isabel: Nobody said I was playing fair :) Good for you with your writing. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, though - just have fun!
Zoe: Thanks! Sometimes it's tough because I worry about whether my writing is good enough and all that stuff, but I just have to remind myself that, in the end, it's MY story and nobody else's, and it seems to help a little. :) I think all writers, though, have to remember not to put themselves down at times. I think we really are our worst critics, even if we're still the ones that love our writing the most. ;)
*gasps* That all looks VERY exciting.
Thanks, Clover!
That's such a good idea! Though I was hoping you were telling us about BSP itself. ;-)
Zoe, I think I should leave THE CURSE OF CHALION till I'm older because I don't enjoy it as much right now, but should I or should I not? Also if I leave books midway I feel guilty, so... :-(
Megha: If you're not enjoying the book, of course you don't have to finish it! It might just be that it's not for you. on the other hand, the first half of the book is very intense, and then things start to...shift midway through, and change... I don't want to spoil it for you, but if you're unsure of whether you want to finish it because you're worried about how it's going to end, I will say that the I LOVE the ending of the book and the way everything dovetails. Anyway, don't force yourself. No book is worth being frustrated and upset over.
Zoe: I love this post! This post, combined with the the last teaser, makes me can't wait even more for this story! :D Also, just pre-ordered Shadows on the Moon, so quite excited for that! :)
Megha: I would just leave the book. It happened to me once so I left the book for just over a year and I found that when I tried it again I enjoyed it and appreciated it much more :)
Thanks, Rebecca. Shadows on the Moon is getting really close now - there's some exciting stuff coming up for that soon, so stand by.
Ace :D
Zoe: Hmm, thank you. :-) I guess I still can't remove the feeling of guilt xP but I guess it IS an adult book after all and I'm not expected or forced to read it by anyone but myself. Although I *am* enjoying the book quite a bit, I think it would be better if I read it when I'm a bit older....
I love the whole idea for the images. I can only regret that in Bulgaria, we don't have your books.
Megha: Why feel guilty? It's not a class assignment, it's supposed to be fun! Rid yourself of unwanted guilt. The book will still be there if and when you decide you are ready for it.
Borky: I wish that, too! Maybe in time.
Wow...I can hardly wait!!!!!!
TEASE :P
O_O I'm dying! I want! I want!! You are such a tease m'dear. But it gives me something to look forward to, so I hope you never stop. :P
Emily: Thanks! Cross your fingers someone wants to publish it.
Lynsey and Ashley: I just hope I haven't bigged it up too much now! It's really my own impatience that's making me tantalise you like this. I want to talk about the story, but I can't - and I can't keep posting snippets all the time because I'll give too much away and ruin it. So I end up teasing you, but actually I'm teasing myself just as much.
How do you find the images? Do you search Google Images for "samurai", "ruined house", etc, or is there a site with a cache of stock photos?
Individually searching! It would be way too convenient if all the images I wanted were together. I pop in 'white haired goth girl' and then spend fifteen minutes combing through the results. That white haired goth girl up there is really nothing like I wanted, but she was the best I could find.
Well, I'm a newcomer (from Cleolinda Jones's blog). I've just read some of your blog posts and many replies to comments.
I didn't read any of your books. That's something I'm gonna correct in coming months.
By looking at this Big Secret Project hints, I know I will be interested. By reading your posts, I believe I really am going to like your books. (I can't say anything about love at this point, it won't be fair.)
And by the way, by looking at your Facebook profile and seeing you like Within Temptation: I love you.
Thanks, Eafiu - if you do get the chance to read any of my books I really hope you will enjoy them. I'm always happy to welcome another Within Temptation fan to my blog (their new album is part of the soundtrack for Big Secret Project, and it's awesome).
Happy to be here. :D I have entrance to university exams (which is too important in my country, you can't enter even the worst university without a decent note) at the end of this month. When they are over and I can finally go to our summer house, I will order your books from Amazon. :D
Symphonic soundtrack of Murder is lethal, it gave me a lot of inspiration. If you haven't listened yet, you should! WT rules! ^m^ :D
I'm reading....
*drumroll*
HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE! =D
Smiles, please! You there, girl in the red jumper, move to the right. A bit more... A bit more... Okay that's- Oye, you! Where are you going? No switching places! You're in height order. Go back to where you were standing. You now! Yes, yes, you, with the blue shirt, move in a little. Closer, closer... Yes, perfect! No one move! SMILE FOR THE CAMERA!!
Eafiu: Wow, good luck! I hope you do great. And thanks for the tip - I've been hesitating over buying some of the symphonic versions for a while.
Megha: You are crazy and I love you for it. Enjoy HMC :)
you are such a tease!! I cant wait to hear more about this once its sold! :D x
And believe me, Raimy, I can't wait to TELL you all!

Thanks, Emma! I promise it will all make sense if you read the book. I hope. Probably...
