A SHORT MUSICAL INTERLUDE

Hello, Dear Readers! Today I bring you exactly what the post title promises - three tracks which have been inspiring me over the past week or so. I hope you find something here that you like.

This last one is a sampler of an album I've been waiting for for AGES, English Rain by Gabrielle Aplin. You can actually stream the whole album free on iTunes right now, so check that out. Happy Tuesday, peeps. Read you Thursday :)

I like Annan Waters - lovely! It looks like my library has a couple of Kate Rusby's CDs, but they're both checked out. I'll have to keep an eye out for them.

Phoenix: I actually wanted to post her lullaby 'Sho Heen', which is based on a really old folksong, but I couldn't find a good version of it on YouTube. Annan Waters is another favourite of mine, though. I highly recommend KR's work. Her voice is stunning.

I realized I've actually heard Kate Rusby once before. There's a CD I like (Celtic Woman 4 - presumably there were three previous ones) that features a selection of female Celtic musicians, and one of my favorite tracks is KR singing "Blooming Heather".
