ANGEL GIVEAWAY WINNER!

Hello, my lovelies!

It's Wednesday again, and I'm going slightly batty over here trying to resist the temptation to peak at/meddle with/completely re-write FF before I have given myself a decent amount of distance. I've ploughed through a few books - one of which I'll be reviewing on Monday - and I've recorded myself singing the blues - which I'll post on Friday. And today I shall be announcing the winner of Angel by L.A. Weatherly.

Goodreads Summary of the book (prepare to drool):

In a world where angels are beyond redemption, Alex thinks he's found one that might deserve mercy.

Alex is a ruthless assassin - of angels. Forget everything you've heard about them before. Angels are not benign celestial creatures, but fierce stalkers whose irresistible force allows them to feed off humans, draining them of their vitality until there is barely anything left. As far as Alex is concerned, the only good angel is a dead angel...until he meets Willow.

She may look like a normal teenager but Willow is no ordinary girl. Half-angel, half-human, Willow may hold the key to defeating the evil angels. But as the hunter and the hunted embark on an epic and dangerous journey and Willow learns the dark and terrifying secrets of her past, Alex finds himself drawn to Willow...with devastating consequences.

Eoin Colfer reinvented the fairy, Stephenie Meyer reinvented the vampire, L.A. Weatherly reinvents the angel! This is a heart-pounding, knuckle-whitening, paranormal romance action-adventure for fans of the "Twilight" series. This is the first in a devastating new trilogy.

Whooo! All right then - drumroll please....

The winner is:

bfree15!

Congratulations, bfree15! Please contact me as soon as possible and give me your postal address so that I can send your prize to you.

For anyone who is kicking their cat right now - stop that! There are no more Fabulous Author interviews or giveaways scheduled at the moment, but there will be other competitions in the future, I promise. Have an excellent middle-of-the-week and I will see you all (gulp!) on Friday!

I CAN’T believe it!
I had a feeling I was going to win and low and behold I did. I am grinning from ear to ear and laughing like a deranged person right now. I would do a happy dance but I think my boss might look at me a bit funny.
Today I am invincible nobody is going to wipe this smile from my face.
THANK YOU Zoe

Btw you already have my postal address I am the person who won your Authors for Japan Auction so just post it along with my copy of TSK thanks.

Wow, I had no idea you were the same person - what a fantastic coincidence! This'll save me some postage, so I suppose I'm a winner as well. Heh heh. Congratulations again. And maybe buy a lottery ticket on the way home.

Shoot. Oh, well. I had really wanted to win this one -- after all, it is the last one, and I've never won a giveaway in my life. (Not to mention the drool-worthy prize -- yumdelicious.) At least I wasn't really expecting to win. Oh, well. There's always next time! Congrats, Bfree! During my next round of book-ordering (no more Borders to go to D:) I will order this book on Book Depository. I can't wait to read it!

Oh, and I'm looking forward to Friday! ;) You'll be great!

Sorry Isabel - you just don't seem to have the luck, do you? Maybe next time. As I said, I will be doing more giveaways in the future, so I'll cross my fingers for you.

Eugh. Don't mention Friday.

Sorry. :( Please don't be so nervous. I won't judge you. But I know how you feel -- I would be flipping out myself. I'd probably chicken out at the last second. Not to give you any ideas...

I just ordered The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms, by N.K. Jemisin, The Curse of Chalion, by Lois McMaster Bujold, and Howl's Moving Castle, by Dianna Wynne Jones on Borders online. And, of course, I also ordered Angel, by L.A. Weatherly on the Book Depository. I do adore the U.S. cover, but, thanks to you, Zoe, I can't wait long enough to get it. Anyway, I don't mind the U.K. cover. I'm sure the book will be amazing. :)

Congrats to bfree15. If you think you're happy now, just wait until you get your book in the mail. I got mine today and let me tell you my neighboors must have been terrified to see me happy dancing all the way back from the mailbox. When you can hold it in your hand and brag, it's hard not to, that is pure somewhat insane joy.

I'm so jealous of you guys. LOL. I know, it must be sooo exciting. Even when I order books and get them in the mail, it's somewhat like Christmas, and that's nowhere near as exciting as getting your giveaway prizes.

I visited Winsor today, and it was FANTASTIC. I'm soooooooo excited to go there next year. Here's the link to the website, to anyone who is interested: http://www.winsor.edu/
Anyway, the library there is amazing. My host has actually read The Swan Kingdom!!! I asked her if she had read any of your work, but I hadn't at all expected her to say that she had! See how many people are reading your work? ;)

Isabel: Hmmm. I hope you enjoy those books, but A word of warning to you - they are definitely *adult* books, in the sense that they deal with some dark themes. Especially 100K. I mean, I'm not warning you off in any sense, since I read plenty of adult books when I was your age and I know you are very mature, but make sure you have someone around you can discuss them with if they worry or disturb you at all, okay?

Katie-Lynn: Wow, that was quick! I'm glad it got there safely - enjoy your book!

Oh, okay. I'll take your advice to heart. These things usually don't bother me -- I read Fire and the content didn't really affect me that much at all -- so I'm pretty sure I can handle it. Thanks anyway, and if it starts to get to me I'll make sure to put the book/s down.

I just received Entangled, and since my sister stole Wither before I could even start it, I'm going to read that first. I'm excited!

Isabel said...

Actually, my sister being the speed-reader (like you, Zoe!) that she is, she already finished Wither, so since I'm a tad more excited about that than I am about Entangled, I'm going to read that first, hehe. BTW, what was your rating for Entangled? And The Iron Witch? I don't think you reviewed them on Goodreads...

Four stars - I can't believe I didn't put that on Goodreads! D'oh.
