Some of you may be aware that late last week the original Shadows on the Moon book trailer reached 1,000 views, which was a cause of great smileyness and joy at Casa Zolah.
Now, I promised back when the trailer was first launched that if this happened, I'd persuade my publisher to let me upload the extended version, which had some extra juicy bits. And I'm very happy to say that they've given me the OK to put it on my personal YouTube Channel.
So here it is! Let me know what you think!

Must be like being a film star. Well done on 1000 hits. It looks brilliant.
Viv: If you could see the state of me this morning, you would be laughing at the idea of me being 'like a film star' hard enough to make your stomach ache. Yeah. No. But it's still v. exciting!
I love it - it captures the essence of the book and of Suzume's internal battle. Also, more Otieno - hurrah!
Essjay: Thanks :) I honestly don't know what more any writer could ask for than this. It's so spot on.
Last night when you said "Yay the Shadow on the Moon trailer has 1000 hits!" My response was, "There's a trailer?! Zoom!" And finally watching the original made me pine for a physical copy of the book rather than my Kindle edition, I love the extra bits in this one! Small teasers like that. I HAVE to read your books, I feel like a bad person for having not done! Hoping I get some bloody time to soon. *bounce*
Hannah: I'm glad you finally got to see it - I love what they did with it :) Personally I really like ebooks, and I buy lots, but when I really like a book I often end up getting a physical copy too, and I must say that the physical Shadows on the Moon is soooososo pretty. The shiny glossy bits! The section end detailing! Not to mention the QR codes for extra content...
ooo so pretty!!!
SisterSpooky: I know, right? I want All The Kimonos! (And the male actor, too).
That's awesomesauce! That's awesomescauce with a side of awesome!
Congratulations. :)
Isabel: Thank you - and I'm glad to see that you are helping to make my strange sayings 'a thing' :)
Haha - or should I say "awesome with a side of cool sauce"? I prefer that one... :)
So lovely and compelling! Also, the male actor is HAWT.
Rae: Heh heh heh. Thank you. I wonder if the actor knew how many people would be drooling over him when he signed up for this role?
Lovely trailer! :D Very well done and it sure captured my attention and interest! I've got to read this one, I know I'll love it as much as your other books, Zoe!
With a video like that, I'm going to have to do a post about it on my blog to let others see it. :)
Enjoy,
TBQ
TBQ: Thank you! Honestly, I think my publisher deserve a medal for their work on it. And I'm *sure* you'll love Shadows. It's coming out in hb from Candlewick Press in April next year (and the cover is gorgeous - can't wait to share it!).
I actually saw the video BEFORE I even read this post! This is what I wrote on YouTube:
I thought the original trailer couldn't be improved on because it was so perfect... I thought that, until I saw this.
<3
Love it! :D
Rebecca: Thanks! Me too.
wow!
Thats all I can say!
Raimy: Heh heh! That's the reaction I was hoping for :)
Wow, I'd thought that Shadows on the Moon would be on the list for my next train journey (it's on my Kindle) and this has made it jump to the top! Looking forward to my weekend away next week even more now :)
Also, that actor is a rather attractive man, I approve of this!
Jenni: I think that young man must have to carry extra tissues with him everywhere he goes, so that people can wipe off the drool!
This was so beautiful, I loved it. And after reading the book it's so interesting to watch. A tear did fall from my eyes.
Amie: Hurray! I need readers tears to keep my youth!
